Treatment Approach
Every person is unique, from their challenges to their therapy goals. I tailor my treatment approach to meet your unique needs, and meet you where you are on your individual mental health journey.

One of my main priorities is building a strong therapy relationship, in which you can trust that you can share your emotions and experiences, and will be heard with warmth and empathy. I maintain a lens of multicultural humility, and am affirming of all individuals’ cultural, racial, sexual, gender, and religious identities.
My treatment approach integrates theories and techniques from several therapy modalities. I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help you explore unhelpful thought and behavior patterns, and learn ways to identify and cope with distressing emotions. In addition, I use interpersonal and emotional process techniques to help you work through painful feelings in the moment. I utilize psychodynamic and attachment-based approaches to help you build insight into how early life experiences and family relationships influence your mental health. I also incorporate mindfulness skills like meditation and deep breathing to help manage stress and anxiety.
